Beyond Borders. Isabel Miquel Arqués in dialogue with Karen Blixen is published by Ludion and is part of a trilogy that is an artistic dialogue between the artist and female icons such as Karen Blixen, Virginia Woolf and Georgia O'Keeffe. In the first part of this trilogy, Isabel links her own life to that of the Danish writer Karen Blixen by means of photographs, screen prints and short fragments of prose and poetry. Arqués interweaves the impressions that she gathered in Blixen's house, world, novels and biography into a new story of poetic images.

This art book was officially presented on March 20 at Geukens & De Vil Gallery in Antwerp.

At the exhibition you could find the book as well as selected pieces of art included in it.
Isabel presented the book in an artist’s talk and conversation with Catherine Lefebvre, who is the Head of the Danish-Swedish Art Foundation and former director of the Karen Blixen Museum in Copenhagen.

For the first print run of this publication, only 700 copies have been made available.

100 of them as Collector's Edition.
The book is printed on heavy 140gsm paper, and it measures 31cm x 23cm and has 168 pages.
